QUOSA Information Manager

QUOSA Information Manager is a desktop application used to manage your personal biomedical literature (articles and internal documents) collection.

It is also a tool for users who wish to publish documents to Virtual Library (a companion QUOSA product) to share within their organization. Key features of QUOSA Information Manager allow you to:

• Select the database (QUOSA calls these channels, including OvidSP, PubMed, and many others) and search within the familiar interface of the database Web site through Information Manager
• Retrieve full-text articles from a results set with one click. QUOSA recognizes when you have a subscription to a specific resource and retrieves the full-text PDF when available
• Keep a running history of the article sets retrieved from your searches. Create folders within QUOSA to organize your articles; you may drag and drop articles from the search history to any folder and QUOSA automatically de-dupes within the folder
• Search efficiently across the full-text and citation fields of your articles and documents to find terms of interest in the full text, not just in the abstract or index terms
• Use QUOSA highlighting for quick analysis of where your terms of interest appear in the documents
• Retrieve alert results from PubMed, OvidSP, and Embase.com, automatically
• Import your personal PDF collections into Information Manager. QUOSA will query MEDLINE during the import process and attach the citation to the article if it is available. Once in QUOSA, these articles will be full-text searchable
• Accommodate many file formats, including PDF, HTML, MS Office, and multi-media files
• Work seamlessly with familiar citation management software such as EndNote and Reference Manager. Send citations to citation management libraries or import citations into QUOSA
• Funnel new articles (e.g. alert results) from Information Manager directly into the Virtual Library for immediate sharing with colleagues and workgroups.
